2016 Korean Speech Contest, Nigeria

안녕하세요!!

Last Thursday, the Korean Cultural Centre in Nigeria hosted the 2016 Korean Speech contest.  Students of the Sejong Institute language class participated both at beginner and intermediate level. I won the competition last year and was able to go to Korea to mark the celebrations of Hangul Day. So I attended the competition this time around to support my classmates and cheer them on!

There were a lot of familiar faces and people I haven't seen in a while so it was a sort of reunion for me.

I have a Korean Radio Show #KpopFridays

Heeyyyyy!!

It's been a minute, I know. I have been so busy the past few weeks that the time just flew by.

How have ya'll been? what have you been up to?

There is so much going on with me...and one of the things that has kept me busy is a radio show I started with a few friends back in January. As a journalism student, it is required for me to have credit hours for radio journalism. So I convinced a few friends to start a program on Korean entertainment.

In our first season, we introduced different types of Korean entertainment every week. From dramas, to variety, films, music shows, kpop and so on..my friends didn't know zilch about Korean entertainment or knew just a little, so it was fun seeing them grow interest with every week to the point where they have favourite Kpop songs and binge watch Korean dramas!!

전주 한옥마을 '꽃가마' CAFE | JEONJU HANOK VILLAGE 'Kkochgama' CAFE

I mentioned this cafe when I wrote about my visit to the Jeonju Hanok village, it is a cute traditional cafe for desserts and drinks. On the day we went to Jeonju, it was raining. So after lunch, we sought out a welcome warmth from the pouring rain.
